Service Projects
The Farragut Lions Club supports the following projects:
Vision Assistance: The club participates in monthly vision missions as part of the Smoky Mountain Lions Charities vision van program. Additionally, the Farragut Lions aid needy children through a partnership with Friends of Tennessee Babies with Special Needs. Exams and glasses are provided free. Through our Outreach KidSight Program with Tennessee Lions Eye Center at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, the Farragut Lions provide free vision screening to identify young children with visual defects.
Hunger Initiative: Recognizing the hunger issues in our area, the Farragut Lions participated with 40 other Lions clubs in east Tennessee with the InAsMuch food packing and delivery program. The club also makes contributions to the Shepherd of Good Hope Food Pantry, Second Harvest Food Bank, and other nutrition efforts.
Seniors Initiative: The club participates in the CAC Seniors Christmas program at the Farragut YMCA.
Disaster Relief: The Farragut Lions made donations to assist flood and tornado assistance projects through Lions Clubs throughout Tennessee.
Lions White Cane Raffle: The Lions of East Tennessee conduct a legal raffle each year to help fund several different causes. The Farragut Lions are committed to supporting this project.
